Former UConn women\u2019s basketball point guard Moriah Jefferson is back in the WNBA. Jefferson signed with the Minnesota Lynx Friday, four days after she was waived by the Dallas Wings. Jefferson was the second overall pick in the 2016 WNBA Draft after being part of four national champions with UConn. The signing comes a day after Minnesota signed former UConn guard Evina Westbrook, who was waived by the Seattle Storm last week. The Lynx waived another former UConn point guard last week \u2014 2020 WNBA Rookie of the Year Crystal Dangerfield, who has since been signed and released by the Indiana Fever after playing one game. Jefferson played four minutes in Dallas\u2019 season opener before she was waived. She started 28 games last season, averaging 5.4 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 17.2 minutes per game. In 110 career games \u2014 including 77 starts \u2014 she has averaged 8.7 points, 2.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. At UConn, Jefferson was 151-5 over four years. She averaged 9.9 points and 4.3 assists, and her 659 assists are most in program history. She was a two-time winner of the Nancy Lieberman Award as the nation\u2019s best point guard.
