UConn baseball ranked 15th in latest national poll

The UConn baseball team is 15th in the latest NCAA D1Baseball.com national rankings.

The Huskies (28-7) were No. 18 last week, after three weeks ranked No. 25. Jim Penders’ team has won nine games in a row and 11 of 12.

UConn is coming off a three-game sweep at Seton Hall. The team’s last loss came April 3 at Kent State.

The Huskies are 6-0 in the Big East and next play Tuesday at home against UMass.

Tennessee (33-3) is the No. 1 team in the country, followed by Oregon State, Oklahoma State, Arkansas and Miami. UConn is the only Northeast school ranked in the top 25.

UConn is ranked 13th in the latest Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll and 16th in the USA Today Baseball Coaches poll.
