What you need to know: Here’s your annual reminder to not put too much stock into preseason polls. Sacred Heart and Central Connecticut were picked first and tied for second, respectively, in Northeast Conference, yet they are among the league’s biggest disappointments. CCSU leads the series 12-9.

New Haven at American International
