If you're in Bridgeport this weekend with your kids and find yourself facing a lull during a break in the action, never fear.

We've got a list of local attractions to keep everyone in the family happy this weekend in Bridgeport.

There are plenty of museums to entertain the kiddos during an afternoon in Bridgeport. The Discovery Museum and Planetarium offers exhibits such as the Hall of Space, Science at Play and “Teddy Bear Triage.” Then there’s the nearby Helicopter Museum and the Connecticut Air and Space Center, both in Stratford, for plane and space enthusiasts and the Housatonic Art Museum for little artists.

Enjoy the salt air and sun at some of Bridgeport’s seaside attractions. Seaside Park is made up of 325 acres, with three miles of coastline and plenty of lawn space and sports fields. The park also has bike paths and hiking trails. Captain’s Cove Seaport, in the Black Rock neighborhood, is a kitschy nautical hangout with little boardwalk shops, an indoor-outdoor bar and a restaurant overlooking a marina.

Rockin’ Jump Trampoline Park

Rockin’ Jump in nearby Trumbull is lined wall to wall with trampolines, swings and foam pits. Kids can play dodgeball, practice their basketball skills in the slam dunk zone, and test their limits with a rock wall and a warp wall. There’s also a ninja obstacle course, a drop zone and an open-jump area.
