Watch the FCIAC boys lacrosse semis live on HAN tonight
The HAN Network will bring you all the action in the FCIAC lacrosse playoffs this week.
Coverage resumes Wednesday at 5 p.m. with the boys semifinals from Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk.
The first game is second-seeded New Canaan against third-seeded Ridgefield.
The nightcap pits top-seeded Darien against fourth-seeded Wilton, scheduled for a 7 p.m. start.
The winners Wednesday will meet in the FCIAC boys lacrosse championship game Friday, May 25, at 7 p.m., broadcast live from Brien McMahon High School on the HAN Network.
New Canaan eliminated seventh-seeded St. Joseph 13-3 Monday. Quintin O’Connell had a hat trick for the Rams, while Ben Conley, Ted Manges, Mac Deane, Ryan Caione and Drew Guida each tallied twice.
The Rams will take on Ridgefield, which topped Greenwich 15-8 Monday off an 11-goal first half. John Mathes and Ray Dearth scored four goals each for the Tigers, while Greg Gatto added two goals and two assists.
Ridgefield and New Canaan did not meet during the regular season.
Darien advanced to the semifinals with a 20-2 victory over eighth-seeded Ludlowe Monday. Brian Minicus led the unbeaten Blue Wave with six goals and four assists.
Up next for the Blue Wave is fourth-seeded Wilton, 8-4 victors over fifth-seeded Staples Monday. Brian Calabrese and Dean DiNanno both had two goals and three assists for the Warriors.
Darien beat Wilton 12-6 on April 21.
The HAN Network will also broadcast the FCIAC girls lacrosse final, top-seeded Darien against third-seeded Wilton, live from Norwalk High School on Thursday, May 24, at 7 p.m.
Wilton topped No. 2 seed New Canaan 10-8 in Monday’s semifinals, while Darien defeated No. 4 Greenwich 14-7 in the second game.
Darien defeated Wilton 15-10 on April 3.
