Darien’s Julia Servas finished in fourth place, leading a trio of Wave divers at the CIAC Class L diving finals Thursday night at Middletown High School.

The Darien junior, who was seeded 11th on the psych sheets, moved up seven spots and scored 430.30 points. She was one of only four divers to top the 400-point mark.

Servas also finished fourth as a sophomore last season, scoring 374.65, after finishing ninth as a freshman.

Immaculate’s Farrah Volpinsta, a junior and the No. 1 seed, won the Class L title with a score of 521.85.

Charlotte Frank of New Canaan was second (445.20), Sienna Breton of Cheshire was third (437.35), and Hall’s Zoe Baker was fifth (392.25).

The Wave had three divers finish in the Class L top 10.

Junior Lana Schmidt took seventh place with a score of 376.50, and Emma Hunter, another junior, was 10th with a score of 329.90.

The divers’ score will be added to the Darien swimmers score to determine the Class L champion. The Wave had won six consecutive state championships before finishing as the runner-up behind Cheshire last fall.

The swim trials will be held on Saturday at Cornerstone Pool in West Hartford, with the swim finals on tap for Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Southern Connecticut State University.
