Darien’s Dillon Schoen and the Stanford Cardinal will begin their quest for a conference championship when they take on the USC Trojans in the semifinals of the inaugural Pac-12 women’s lacrosse tournament on Friday.

Second-seeded Stanford (13-4 overall, 8-2 conference) will face No. 3 USC at 6 p.m. tonight — 3 p.m. pacific time — in Boulder, Colorado. The early semifinal contest will feature No. 1 Colorado against No. 3 USC.

The winners will play for the Pac-12 championship at 11 a.m. PST on Sunday.

Schoen is a senior co-captain and starting midfielder, and has appeared in 73 games during during her career with the Cardinal. She has career totals of 91 goals and 32 assists for 123 points, with 90 ground balls and 65 caused turnovers.

In 17 games this season, Schoen has 26 goals and six assists for 32 points, 23 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers.

A member of the DHS Class of 2014, Schoen helped the Blue Wave win three FCIAC championships (2012-14) and three state titles (2011, 2013, 2014).
