FCIAC baseball quarterfinals moved to Saturday; Darien battling for a playoff home game
With the postponement of numerous games due to Monday’s rain and subsequent wet field conditions on Tuesday, the FCIAC is postponing the quarterfinal round of the conference tournament from Friday to Saturday.
Final seedings and pairings will be determined after Thursday’s rescheduled regular-season games.
The Darien Blue Wave, which is 11-7 overall and 10-4 in the conference, has clinched an FCIAC tournament bid and is fighting for a top four seed and a quarterfinal home game.
Darien will host the St. Joseph Cadets at 4 p.m., Tuesday, and then close out the regular season with a a game against the Norwalk Bears at Nathan Hale School at 3 p.m., Wednesday.
