Hall/Conard is a traditionally strong program, although the Warchiefs have struggled a bit this season and are 5-5-1, landing just outside the state tournament bubble in 10th place for the moment.
Playing at Veterans Memorial Rink in West Hartford, senior Corinne Bevill got the Wave started with the lone goal in the first period, assisted by junior Shea van den Broek.
The Wave freshmen made a racket in the second period, with Kelly Raymond netting a shortie and Lucie Edwards adding the next goal for a 3-0 lead. Another freshman, Catherine Martin, and sophomore Cate Droogan both assisted on Edwards’ goal.
Sophomore Caitlin Chan and freshman Kate Bellissimo added third-period goals to ice the game.
Three Wave players finished with two points each, as Bevill had a goal and an assist, and van den Broek and Martin had two assists apiece. Raymond, Edwards, and Chan each had one goal, and Droogan and senior co-captain Elise Maro each had an assist.
Goalie Hallie Kreppin saved all five Hall/Conard shots on net to earn the shutout.
