Darien is the only team in the league without a loss and has won 10 straight.

Its 14-1 win over Fairfield Warde on Monday improves the Wave to 8-0 FCIAC and 10-2 overall.

“I thought this game was a perfect representation of what we've been striving for,” said senior captain Cassidy Schiff, who had three hits in the 14-hit parade. “We played a complete game with good energy the whole time and kept tacking the runs on.”

Darien scored four runs in the second, one in the third, five in the fourth, and two each in the fifth and sixth.

The Wave had one error, Warde three.

Warde goes to 5-3, 8-4.

Sophia Barbour pitched the win keeping the Mustangs to three hits.

“Sophia's pitching and our defense was solid, but I'm especially happy with our hitting performance,” said Schiff, with two RBI. “Everyone was seeing the ball well and I couldn't be happier with how this game went.”

Hailey King had three hits, doubled and tripled.

Jess Carlo had two hits and three RBI.
