Boys lacrosse team has several players earn All-American, All-State honors, along with the CT Player of Year
The Darien lacrosse boys wrapped their perfect season last Saturday with a state championship and a final record of 23-0. While the final polls are not yet released, the boys have held the number one spot in the country for several weeks, and it is expected that they remain in that spot, laying claim to a national championship. Today, the names of those on the team earning All-American and All-State honors were released.
There were six members of the team earning that top distinction. Seniors Ryan Cornell, Finlay Collins, Riley Stewart, Arden Cohen, and Kevin Lindley were named All Americans, as was junior Logan McGovern.
All players named All-American were also First Team All-State. In addition, seniors Quinn Fay and Nick Percarpio earned First Team All-State distinction, as did junior Jack Joyce. Junior Tanner Strub was Second Team All-State as well.
Kevin Lindley was named the CT Player of the Year, following a season where he rewrote the record books. Lindley is the 13th player in the history of the program to be named Player of the Year. The boys also earned CT Team of the Year for their historic season.
