The season is changing for Darien sports.

The Blue Wave football team had its fall campaign come to a close with a loss to Newtown in the Class LL final on Saturday, and in this week’s Wave by the numbers, we take a look at some stats from that game.

We’ll then turn the page to the ice hockey season, as Darien’s girls and boys teams look to be contenders for FCIAC and state championships again this winter.

Darien won the final meeting, 2-0, in the state tournament quarterfinals.

No. 3
