Tickets for the 24th annual Turkey Bowl football game between the New Canaan Rams and Darien Blue Wave are available via online purchase this season.

This year’s Turkey Bowl will be played at Stamford’s Boyle Stadium at 10:30 a.m., Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23, and tickets will also be available at the gate. The move to Stamford was made to accommodate the large crowd the game usually draws, as Boyle Stadium has a capacity of more than 10,000.

Tickets are at $10 and will also be available at the gate on game day. Children five and younger will be admitted free.

As the home team, Darien High School has introduced the online option for ticket purchases, which can be found by clicking here.

Once tickets are purchased online, you will be directed to download the State Champs App and download the tickets directly to your phone. Instructions can be viewed by clicking here.

Paper tickets will not be sold at the New Canaan High School athletics office.

Darien is unbeaten this season and enters the Turkey Bowl with a 9-0 record, while New Canaan is 7-2 and needs a victory in order to qualify for the CIAC Class L playoffs.

New Canaan is 13-9-1 in the Turkey Bowl series, which started when the rivalry game was moved to Thanksgiving on 1994. The Blue Wave has had the upper hand recently, winning five straight Turkey Bowls starting in 2012.
