STAMFORD — A man and a woman who live in the city were shot and injured following an argument at a South End housing complex, police said Monday. Officers responded to reports of shots fired in the area of the Ludlow townhouses at 59 Ludlow St. at about 10:20 p.m. Saturday, Lt. Tom Scanlon said. Scanlon said officers found a 23-year-old Stamford woman with a gunshot wound to the arm at the scene. Later that evening, Scanlon said detectives learned of another gunshot victim — a 38-year-old Stamford man, who had driven himself to the hospital with an injury to his arm as well. Neither injury was considered life-threatening, and the 38-year-old victim was stable in the intensive care unit at Stamford Hospital on Monday, Scanlon said. Investigators believe the shooting is a result of an argument, and it “may have involved multiple parties,” he said. No arrests have been made in the shooting. Though investigators recovered a firearm at the scene of the shooting, Scanlon said they were still looking for leads in the case. “We believe there were multiple witnesses at the shooting and we’re asking that any of those witnesses get in touch with the Major Crimes Unit,” Scanlon said. Anyone with information on Saturday’s shooting is asked to contact the Major Crimes Unit at 203-977-4417.
