NEW MILFORD -- A Sherman teenager was arrested on several drug and weapons charges after he was stopped Sunday night for motor vehicle violations and found to have hallucinogenic drugs packaged for sale, as well as marijuana and a knife in the car, police said.

Paul Deedon, 18, of Curtis Drive, was charged with possession of hallucinogenic drugs to sell and dispense, possession of less than four ounces of marijuana, possession and control of a hallucinogenic substance, illegal possession of drugs within 1,500 feet of a school, weapons in a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and misuse of a license plate.

Deedon was released on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Bantam Superior Court on Dec. 14.
