To the Editor:

On behalf of the teachers and staff at Methodist Family Center Preschool, we thank the Darien Health Department for their commitment to immunizing our community’s teachers against COVID-19. The process was organized, efficient and required minimal time away from our classrooms.

Through strict adherence to the CDC’s guidelines, we have been fortunate to keep our doors open this year. Although we are not out of the woods yet, vaccinations for our teachers are a huge step forward in strengthening our ability to care for the youngest members of our community. We are grateful to the Darien town officials and volunteers who made this possible.
