Marylee Fisher, 68, of Norwalk, CT passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Chandler Hall, Newtown, PA.

Marylee was a teacher in the Englewood (NJ) and East Windsor-Hightstown school systems. She was a principal in Cupertino, CA and Millburn, NJ. For the past 15 years, Marylee was principal of the Tokeneke Elementary School in Darien, CT, retiring last year.

She was a graduate of Skidmore College and received her master’s degree from New York University.

Daughter of the late Samuel and Lenabel Fisher, wife of the late Jerry Karp and sister of the late Stephen Fisher, she is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Willa and Michael F. Spicer of Princeton, NJ; 2 nieces, Ellen and Jennifer; 1 nephew, Andrew; many friends including her 3 cherished friends, Neal Gallub, Marguerite Stratton and Carol Tomassini.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Because Marylee was always an artist, in fact and in spirit, memorial contributions in her name should be made to an arts program of the donor’s choice. The charity should send acknowledgements to her sister, Willa Spicer, 347 Cold Soil Rd., Princeton, NJ 08540.
