Lorraine C. Stolinas, beloved mother and a long time resident of Darien, died on Sunday, June 22nd, 2014 surrounded by family and friends. Born on December 24th, 1930 in Stamford, CT., she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Elvira Coutermash. She was 83.

Mrs. Stolinas worked for over 50 years in the food service industry. She was a long time member of Union Memorial Church where she served as a Deacon and was a member of the Women’s Guild. She had a passion for crafts and crocheting and loved cooking for family and friends.

She was predeceased by her 4 brothers, Allen Coutermash, Wilbur Coutermash, Thomas Coutermash and Edward Coutermash, as well as by her two sisters Doris O’Brien and Eileen (Blossom) Poplowski.

She is survived by her son and her daughter-in-law, Walter J. Stolinas III and Kathleen Stolinas of Stratford, CT., her daughter Kimberly A. Davies, her granddaughter Casey Davies, her goddaughter Joy Sweeney of Boston and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Union Memorial Church, 58 Church Street, Stamford on Saturday June 28th, 2014 at 11 a.m. The family will receive guests at 10 a.m. in the church sanctuary.
