Li Yu Pan, 80, of Darien, CT died peacefully with her husband, her three children, son in-law and grandchildren by her side on March 14 at North Shore Long Island Jewish Hospital. She was born on Dec. 14, 1934 to the late Rev. S.Y. Chang and P.C. Chang, the sixth of seventh children, two brothers and four sisters. She was raised in a Presbyterian Church in Taiwan.

She is survived by her husband, S. C. Pan of 55 years, son T.H. Pan and partner Deborah Shank, daughter Lo-I Obrecht and son-in-law Karl Obrecht, son Tao Pan and fiance Victoria Liu, and grandchildren Tyler Ruefenacht and Alyssa Ruefenacht.

In Taiwan she worked as a nurse then became full-time homemaker devoting her time to her husband and raising her three children. Li Yu and S.C. Pan have been members of Noroton Presbyterian Church in Darien, CT for 38 years. She is now resting peacefully in the  Heavenly kingdom with her father, mother, brother and sisters, her family said. Funeral service was on March 21 at 1p.m. at Noroton Presbyterian Church Chapel, 2011 Post Road, Darien, CT. 203-655-1451
