Josephine Mary Marinella Rogers, a lifelong Darien resident, died at Stamford Hospital on Sept. 21. She was born in Darien on Jan. 7, 1922 to the late Giovanni Marinella and Giovanna (Spero) Marinella. She was 90.

Mrs. Rogers graduated from Darien High School and was a longtime employee of Bradlees before retiring. She was a member of St. John's RC Church in Darien and their cancer sewing group for many years. Above all, her family said Mrs. Rogers loved her family and enjoyed cooking for them.

She is survived by her two sons, Thomas P. Rogers and his wife, Ginny of Stratford, and Patrick J. Rogers and his wife, Cyndee of Darien; three grandchildren, Christina Lewis and her husband, Brad, and Tricia and Patrick Rogers; two great-grandsons, Nathan and Christopher Lewis; and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband Joseph J. Rogers, three brothers, Carmine, James and John Marinella, three sisters, Jean Marinella, Mary Cerullo and Louise Stamatis.

Calling hours will be held at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Rd., on Tuesday, Sept. 25  from 5 to 8.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday Sept. 26 at St. John Parish, 1986 Post Road at 10.

Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Norwalk.
