As the beloved matriarch of the large Huffard clan, she inspired us with her intelligence, artistry, elegance, and above all, her enjoyment of all people and philosophies. Born in Rutherford NJ, she fell in love with Phil Huffard, married, moved often, and settled in New Canaan in 1954 to raise their five children.

Throughout her long and rich life she achieved great celebrity with her bronze and stone sculptures which enhance many art collections throughout the country. Edith was pre- deceased by her husband, Paul Phillippi Huffard, Jr, her youngest daughter, Hilary Huffard, and her eldest son Paul Phillippi Huffard III. She is survived by her daughter in law, Deborah Huffard of Greenwich, CT, her son and daughter in law, Jay and Kirk Huffard of Stamford, CT, her daughter and son in law, Hathaway and Robert Green of Boston, MA, and her daughter and son in law, Honor Stanley and Rick Gallup of Swannanoa, NC, and a much loved circle of family and friends.
