Archie Leon Terzian, 90, died in his home on Sept. 18. Mr. Terzian was born Feb. 18, 1925 to the late Archie A. and Kenarig Terzian. He grew up in Darien and graduated from Darien High School, class of 1943. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II as a 2nd Lieutenant Bombardier. Mr. Terzian graduated from the University of Connecticut and worked as controller of Bridgeport Brass Company in Norwalk for 30 years until it closed. Following his retirement from R.F. Technology in South Norwalk, Mr. Terzian proudly continued as secretary/treasurer of Terzian Trucking Co. Inc. in Norwalk after his retirement.

Mr. Terzian was predeceased in death by his wife of 61 years, Elsie. He is survived by his son, Bryan S. Terzian and his wife Anna of Westport; daughter Susan Kharazi of Mountain View, California; grandsons Pasha Kharazi, Nader Kharazi, Bryan S. Terzian Jr., and Michael Terzian and a recent great grandson, Archie Kharazi. He is also survived by two sisters Evelyn Gallaer of Darien and Alice Cotton of West Caldwell, New Jersey.

Mr. Terzian’s greatest joy was spending time with his grandsons — always attending their school and athletic events and supporting them throughout all their endeavors.

The family would like to thank all the caregivers and doctors for their loving care and support throughout his extended illness.

The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Monday, Sept. 21 from 4 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 1864 Post Road, Darien on Tuesday, Sept. 22,  at 10 a.m.. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien.
