An unlocked car with the key still inside was stolen from its Post Road parking spot while its owner dined at a nearby restaurant. According to police the victim parked her car at about 1:15 p.m. on Dec. 1, near the intersection of Corbin Drive. Tt was missing when she returned about an hour later.

Believing the car may have been towed the victim waited before contacting police. The car had been left unlocked with the key in a cup holder. Police were able to obtain surveillance footage from a gas station nearby which shows a suspect walk past the vehicle before turning around and getting into the driver’s seat. The vehicle drove away traveling west on Post Road.

Police were unable to identify the person due to the quality of the footage but an investigation is ongoing.
