Six unlocked cars were burglarized along Thomasina Lane during the night of July 13. Police conducted a neighborhood canvass after two residents reported about $10 in loose change stolen from their vehicles. Another homeowner said a pocket knife had been taken. In each case, the car had been left unlocked and the glovebox was left open by the burglar.

Investigation of the burglaries is still ongoing. Police continue to advise Darien residents to secure their belongings and lock their cars whenever or wherever they park.
