Darien EMS-Post 53 announced it will begin pre-selling admission tickets for its 30th annual Memorial Day Food Fair outside some 15 retail and non-retail locations on some weekdays, evenings and all weekends starting May 11.

“With all the excitement of the day, it’s nice to get your family to the fun faster after the parade without having to wait in line.  Have your tickets in hand!” said Gayle Close, co-chairman of ticket sales for the Post 53 Food Fair. “Once again, tickets to the Fair will be on sale outside a select group of local retailers all over town in the next few weeks.  We are grateful to our retail partners for their tremendous support.”

“This year marks the 30th Memorial Day Food Fair – a true community tradition, fun for the whole family – also a great way to support the important work of Darien EMS-Post 53,” Close continued. “We hope when you see tickets on sale, you’ll take a moment to support us, and then come by on Memorial Day to join the fun!”

Tickets will sell for $5 each and will be sold by young adult Post 53 members outside locations such as Darien Sport Shop, Dunkin Donuts, Fabricare Cleaners, Heights Pizza, Jake’s Place, Johnny’s & Company, Nielsen’s Florist & Garden Shop, Palmer’s Market, Ring’s End, Splash Car Wash, Stop & Shop Good Wives Shopping Center, Stop & Shop Noroton Heights Shopping Center, Tengda Asian Bistro Darien, Vavala’s Deli & Catering and Wild Birds Unlimited at a varying schedule.

Ticket sales also give people from town a chance to talk with Post members to learn more about Darien EMS-Post 53 services and programs.
