A Darien woman’s Honda Accord was the apparent target of poaching after she found parts missing from her car on April 6. According to police the woman parked her car from about 11:10 a.m. to 1:10 p.m. in the lot of Lanphier Spa.

When she returned she found that her trunk lid was missing entirely, along with her license plate. Her driver’s side door lock had also been forced open and her airbag was missing from the steering wheel. Police determined the trunk lid had been removed at the assembly arms. No other cars in the area showed signs of tampering. The stolen parts were valued at about $3,000.
