A Seagate Road resident told police both her car and home showed signs of an overnight burglary on June 6. The victim told police she left her car unlocked in the driveway at 10:30 p.m. the prior night, and when she went outside at 7:30 a.m., she found the driver’s door slightly ajar and the contents of the glove box strewn about the passenger compartment. Nothing was reported missing from inside the car.

The victim said her wallet was also moved from her purse that morning and was missing about $40 in cash. She said the wallet was found near the home’s front door, which had also been left unlocked. The victim reached out to family members who had been home overnight, but no one reported anything unusual. No signs of forced entry were found at the home, but an investigation is ongoing.

A Post Road resident reported that someone had entered her car and searched her pocketbook overnight on June 6. A bike was also reported stolen from the front porch but was located across the street. A Catalpa Terrace resident reported that his vehicle had also been burglarized and the contents of the glove box were left on the front passenger seat. Nothing was reported missing from the car.
