Darien man arrested for violating protective order
A Darien man was arrested for violating a protective order following a domestic incident on Nov. 15. Officers responded to a 911 hang up just before 10:30 a.m. and spoke with a victim who described an angry outburst from Christopher McGovern, 55. McGovern allegedly knocked several items off a counter when the victim refused to speak to him about selling the house.
There is currently an active protective order between McGovern and the victim, and the victim specified several other things McGovern had done to antagonize her. Based on their investigation police placed McGovern under arrest and processed him at Darien Police Department. He was released on $10,000 bond and was due in court the following day.
