A stolen car and four motor vehicle burglaries were reported to Darien police on June 18. In each case, the vehicle was left unlocked. Two cars were reportedly burglarized overnight at a Phillips Place home, with $10 in cash reported missing. The contents of the center console and glove box of both vehicles had been rifled through and the driver’s side door of one of the vehicle’s was left ajar.

A Christie Hill Road resident’s car was stolen after being left unlocked with the keys inside. His wallet was also stolen from his other car, which had been left unlocked as well. During a neighborhood canvass police discovered two more vehicles had been entered in a nearby driveway. That victim reported that while nothing had been taken, the glove box of one of the vehicles had been broken off the hinges.
