A Sunswyck Road resident reported two car burglaries and apparent vandalism at her home last week. The victim said she first noticed a crack on the front passenger door of a Lexus parked in her driveway on July 15. The repair was estimated at $150, but no other damage or signs of burglary were found.

During the night of July 16, the complainant drove to the airport in a Jeep, and returned home at about 2:30 a.m. The next morning she noticed that the glove box and center console of the car had been searched, with papers still strewn about the vehicle. The complainant then checked the Lexus and found its glove box and center console opened as well. The vehicle had been left unlocked with the keys inside, but the keys had been taken. An investigation is still ongoing.
