Bus rider in Darien charged for spitting on fellow passenger
A bus rider in Darien was charged with breach of peace for spitting on another passenger on June 28. The bus driver contacted police at about 11:30 a.m. after the incident took place.
Officers met with two women, one of whom said the other had spit on her for no reason. The accused, identified as Enide Gabriel, 57, of Stamford, said she had been attacked by three men and a woman the prior evening and believe the other woman on board the bus to be her attacker. She said the woman had been taking pictures of her with her phone as well.
The victim told police she had never interacted with Gabriel before that morning. Gabriel was given a misdemeanor summons for breach of peace and given a court date of July 10.
