A Dulles High School aide was removed from campus and terminated after a video was posted to social media showing the employee grabbing and “mishandling” a student, Fort Bend ISD announced Friday.

“Administrators at Dulles High School learned of this video Thursday afternoon and took immediate action to identify the staff member involved and notify the District’s Human Resources Department,” the district said in a statement.

The video, posted publicly to Facebook, appears to show the employee grabbing and dragging the student by the hair.

The campus has been in communication with the student’s family, according to the school district.

“As shared with Dulles High School parents, Fort Bend ISD takes all concerns regarding student safety and well-being seriously, and we will always take immediate action when we learn of behaviors that are not in alignment with the high expectations that we have for our staff,” reads the statement.

The name of the employee was not released by Fort Bend ISD.
