‘Women of Song’ performance upcoming at the Darien Library
The Darien Library will present “Music in the Stacks: Women of Song,” an afternoon honoring Women’s History Month with a wide range of popular classics, including songs by Patsy Cline, Judy Garland and others on Sunday, March 4, at 5 p.m. at the library, 1441 Post Road. Refreshments will be served.
Singer-songwriter Sheri Miller writes and performs her soulful, poetic love songs, while accompanying herself on guitar and piano. Named one of Music Connection’s “Hot 100 Unsigned Artists,” Sheri has released two records, “Mantra” and “Winning Hand,” as well as “I Could Love You Still” (featuring Will Lee, Paul Shaffer, Steve Cropper), among others. In addition to writing her own songs, Sheri has collaborated with many Grammy Award-winning songwriters including J.D. Souther (Eagles), and is recording a new EP/record in Los Angeles, Nashville and New York to be released in 2018.
