Easter baskets are a sure sign of spring, and children will welcome the new season with colorful Easter baskets filled with Easter goodies, as The United Church of Rowayton follows its annual tradition of donating baskets to local children.
Community members are asked to fill Easter baskets with little chocolate bunnies, small toys and games, coloring books, crayons and wrapped candy.
Baskets may be dropped off at the Meeting House behind The United Church of Rowayton, 210 Rowayton Ave., 9 a.m.-5 p.m., through April 14, 2019.
The Department of Children and Families will distribute the baskets to the children just before Easter.
The Easter Basket Drive is part of the church’s Board of Christian Outreach program that helps support many community organizations.
