Tuesday: Talk on college searching for students with learning differences
On Tuesday, Oct. 2, at 7:30 p.m., the Darien Special Education Parent Advisory Committee and Darien Library will present finding the right colleges for students with learning differences with Dr. Michelle Berg, in the Darien Library Community Room. Both parents and students are invited to attend. Educational advising and placement expert Dr. Berg, will discuss what makes a college the ‘right fit’ for a student.
In her presentation, Dr. Berg will address academic, social and emotional realms of a student's life. She will also cover many of the essential skills students need when transitioning to college, including how to manage anxiety during the application process and beyond. Dr. Berg specializes in working with students who have learning differences.
