STILL ON: Hazing documentary to be shown at Darien Library Monday night
On Monday, March 4, The Community Fund of Darien and their Youth Asset Team will be partnering with the Darien Library for a yearly showing of Haze, a film based on a Deerfield Academy alumni who attended University of Colorado Boulder. In his time rushing for a frat, he was hazed by upperclassman and peers who forced him to drink to his death.
Although the film is close to home, it has received recognition from all over the country.
The movie will begin at 7 p.m., and is about an hour long.
After the film, the Community Fund will welcome four panelists to the stage, each with different insight, for a half hour Q and A. The Panel speakers will be Providence College Alumni, Mackensie Coughlin, Darien High School officer, Brian Wallman, Fairfield University Phycologist, Phyllis Weihs, and Luke Robbins, Stamford Hospital Social Worker who lost a frat brother to binge drinking.
