UPDATE 6 PM — The Darien Public Schools will be closed, Monday, March 4, 2019. All activities scheduled for tomorrow are cancelled or will be rescheduled to a later date. Town Hall will open at 10:30 a.m. Monday. The Darien Library will open at noon.

2:43 p.m. A winter storm warning is in effect from 1 p.m. Sunday through Monday 7 a.m. for southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey and southeast New York according to National Weather Service.  Moderate to heavy snow is expected at times. Total snow accumulation of five to eight inches is expected. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact those traveling Sunday night, and the Monday morning commute.

A winter storm warning for snow means severe winter weather conditions will make travel very hazardous or impossible. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
