Darien seniors invited to viewing of new high school play, Legally Blonde, the musical

On Wednesday, March 22,  Darien senior citizens are invited to attend the entertaining play Legally Blonde — The Musical, at Darien High School.  Seniors can attend this dress rehearsal performance free of charge and enjoy free transportation to and from the high school for the 7 p.m. performance.

At Home in Darien has arranged for transportation at approximately 6:30 p.m. to the high school show for seniors, using volunteer drivers in conjunction with their professional drivers.  Seniors can be conveniently picked up at their homes, and returned home safely after the show.

The play tells the story of Elle Woods, a sorority girl who enrolls at Harvard Law School. Throughout the show, no one has faith in her, but she manages to surprise them when she defies expectations while staying true to herself.

Attendees can enjoy the show without the crowds expected at the performances that will be held Thursday, March 23 through Saturday, March 25.

“We are delighted to offer this opportunity to Darien seniors.  It is our hope that seniors who don’t drive, don’t like to drive at night, or who might miss the show because they do not have someone to go with, will take advantage of this opportunity,” said Gina Blum, executive director of At Home in Darien.
