The Darien Public Schools closed for the second day in a row Friday, Jan. 5 with piles of snow still up in the area and winds continuing. Town Hall is opening Friday at 10 a.m. The Darien Library opened at its usual time of 9 a.m. The Darien Historical Society and the Depot follow the school schedule so they are both closed Friday.

The Darien YMCA opened at its usual time, 5 a.m., on Friday, but Holly Pond School is closed. The Darien Community Association and YWCA Darien/Norwalk are closed Friday as well.
