A 28-year-old Darien man was arrested after sending a series of threatening tweets to a victim in Florida. According to police, texts sent by Zach Comboni threatened to commit a crime that caused the victim to fear for the victim’s safety.

Police met with Comboni at his Tokeneke Road home on Sept. 1. He admitted to sending the victim texts while he was intoxicated the previous night. Though he said he was not serious about the threats in the text, he was placed under arrest and processed at police headquarters. Comboni was held on $100,000 bond and was arraigned on Sept. 4.
