The Darien YMCA Board of Directors is looking for candidates for the position of CEO, which will become vacant this summer due to the retirement of current CEO, Pat Morrissey.  The candidate should be an experienced leader who can be as committed to the success of the organization as Morrissey has been for 22 years.

For over 60 years, the Darien Y has been the center of community life, evolving over the decades in response to rapidly growing community needs.  The Darien Y is committed to the Y national mission of youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. By providing programs and services to over 10,000 individuals a year to address pressing human services needs, the Y is helping Darien reach its full potential.

Specifically, the board is looking an individual who has the background and qualities that will permit the achievement of excellence in several areas.  These areas include creating a strategic plan that drives innovation and has bold impact, advancing a culture of philanthropy, developing a strong fiscal plan and continued operational performance, and leading a team as the heart and soul of the organization.

Interested candidates can find a detailed job description and application at  https://tinyurl.com/dariencommunity-ymca-ceo.  Applications will be accepted through Wednesday, April 4, 2018.  Questions regarding this position should be directed to Lisa Drouin, CEO Search Director, YMCA of the USA at lisa.drouin@ymca.net or 973-714-3678.
