The music department of the Darien Public Schools is proud to present Darien High School’s annual Holiday Spectrum concert featuring all of the high school instrumental and choral ensembles performing a complete program of festive holiday music. This one-hour concert of continuous holiday music on Wednesday, Dec. 13 is a musical gift to the entire community of Darien. There is no admission fee, but attendees are encouraged to arrive early. This event will begin at 7  p.m. and the doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

Darien seniors are invited to attend this concert free of charge and listen to the sounds of holiday music.  The concert will feature the band, orchestra, jazz ensemble, pop strings, concert choir and the Tudor Singers.

“We are delighted that Darien High School is sharing this opportunity with seniors in town,” remarked Gina Blum, Executive Director of At Home In Darien. “This is a great way to connect our seniors to community during the holiday season.”

Using volunteer drivers in conjunction with their professional drivers, At Home In Darien has arranged for free transportation for seniors.  Any senior interested in reserving a seat and a ride to the Holiday Spectrum concert, should call At Home In Darien at 203-655-2227.

A holiday silent auction sponsored by the DHS Community Council to benefit Darien Social Services will take place in the lobby of the auditorium from 6:15 to 7  p.m. just before the concert. The silent auction will feature holiday gift items and services from local businesses and the school community.
