Darien High School's Class of '68 celebrates 50-year reunion
Members of of Darien High School's Class of 1968 recently reunited 50 years after its graduation the weekend of Sept. 15.
Events involved the Doubletree Hilton as home base, where attendees met at the bar on Friday, Sept. 14 and tried to recognize one another. Name tags were used with high school photos to help.
Fritz Seyferth, Jed Lawrence and Carol Haesche Lemiszki cheered on the 2018 DHS football team on at Brien McMahon High School. Although they were not joined by other classmates it was a good game and they were warmly welcomed by coaches and the cheerleading squad.
An all ladies event at the Sunset Grille was crashed by "the guys" later Friday night.
On Saturday morning, four honor students took about 40 classmates on a great tour of the new Darien High School. This was followed by a lunchtime gathering at the Pear Tree Point Beach gazebo.
The event closed with cocktails and dinner at Country Club of Darien.
