Darien High Class of ‘68 to hold 50th reunion this weekend
The Darien High School Class of ‘68 has planned a weekend to celebrate its 50th reunion beginning Friday, Sept. 14.
The schedule of events includes an opening gathering at the Doubletree by Hilton restaurant from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14.
Graduates will also be attending the Darien High School football game at Brien McMahon High School from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday night (kick-off at 7 p.m.) Also on Friday, there will be a ladies’ gathering beginning at 8:30 p.m. at the Sunset Grille at Calf Pasture Beach, Norwalk. All female graduates are invited and men are welcome to crash.
On Saturday, Sept. 15, Class of ‘68 graduates are invited to tour Darien High School — those interested should meet at the front lobby.
At noon on Saturday, graduates can bring their own lunch and drinks to gather at the Pear Tree Point gazebo until 2 p.m.
The main event of the reunion will cocktails, dinner and dancing at the Country Club of Darien from 6:30 to 11:30 p.m on Saturday. Attire is “party fabulous.” The club requires tucked-in, collared shirts for men, no jeans, cargo pants or flip flops for anyone.
