Darien Fire Department wins big at Mamaroneck fire parade
Darien Fire Department won best overall award Monday night at the Mamaroneck fire parade in Mamaroneck, New York for the third straight year. Close to 50 departments from Connecticut and New York were in the parade. The parade is part of Mamaroneck's village festivities for Fourth of July and its annual fireman's carnival.
The Darien Fire Department was founded in 1895 and is one of Darien’s three volunteer fire departments, including Noroton Fire Department and Noroton Heights Fire Department.
