Bad Dog Buddy appearing in the first of Darien's Summer Nights series Friday
Darien Summer Nights is back and better than ever. This free concert series, open to family and friends, is held at Grove Street Plaza in Darien every Friday night of the summer, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.. The concerts are organized by Baywater Properties and Grove Street Plaza, through the support of their retail and restaurant tenants and the Darien Chamber of Commerce.
This Friday, June 23, Darien residents have a chance to see Bad Dog Buddy perform live. They are a group of local friends from Darien, New Canaan, Westport and Wilton. They met at the New Canaan School of Rock and through the adult program discovered their shared passion for music. They cover a wide range of music on many unique instruments including a violin, sax, banjo and melodica along with the classic guitar, bass, keys and drums. They perform a few times a year at local bars, events and fundraisers, and their mascot - “Buddy” the dog attends all of their rehearsals and usually gets tangled up in the cords.
Baywater Properties and Grove Street Plaza are encouraging people to come out this summer to Darien Summer Nights for these free events. All that we are asking in return is that the people of Darien and neighboring towns think about shopping locally, and supporting our local businesses.
