The Lions Club of Darien has donated $5,000 to Corbin Cares' phase two efforts to feed front line workers and support local eateries, in partnership with The Darien Foundation. The Lions Club of Darien was founded in 1948 by several Darien businessmen, and is part of the largest service club in the world. "When we saw the appeal from Corbin Cares we acted quickly. It seemed like such a creative and logical extension of the effort earlier last year to feed the needy, elderly, and health workers, etc., with meals prepared by Darien restaurants trying to survive the Covid shut-down," LIONS Club of Darien President, Peter Rogers said. He aded that the club is proud to have supported both efforts in support of Corbin Cares. "Lions stands for Liberty, Intelligence, our Nation's Safety' - never more apropos than the current times in which we live," Rogers said.
