YWCA’s ‘dazzling’ shopping event to benefit its programs
The YWCA of Darien/Norwalk will hold its annual “Dazzling Decadent December” shopping event on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at Kirby & Company, 1029 Post Road, Darien. Ticket proceeds and a percentage of all sales on the day, at both Kirby and Company and Kirby Girl, will benefit the YWCA’s Parent Awareness programming. Beverages and light hors d'oeuvres will be served.
Some Parent Awareness events included “What NOT to Teach Your Teen,” a binge-drinking prevention presentation and an upcoming school readiness discussion entitled “What is ‘Ready’ for Kindergarten?”
Each ticket purchased will be entered for a chance to win a special Dazzling Dinner Date Raffle package and also entitles each shopper to attend a pre-event wine tasting at Sipstirs. Tickets are $30 each or four tickets for $100, and can be purchased online at ywcadn.org/dazzle2019 or by calling 203-655-2535.
This year’s shopping event also coincides with Giving Tuesday, a day designed to amplify the work of nonprofit organizations.
