Ashley Brent, 33, of Commons Park South, Stamford, was charged with driving under the influence on a warrant issued last week in connection with a Nov. 27 accident.

Police said an officer saw Brent drive her white 2013 Acura into the curb while trying to get to the train station entrance near the corner of the Post Road and Center Street about 8 p.m. Nov. 27. The vehicle's airbag deployed and Brent received a scrape on her arm, according to the report.

The officer reported that Brent seemed confused, claiming another vehicle had hit her. There was an odor of alcohol, Brent's eyes were glassy and speech slurred, and she was unsteady on her feet, according to the report. The officer also observed a broken wine glass and open bottle of wine in a bag, police said.

She was uncooperative being placed on a stretcher, after which she was taken to Stamford Hospital for an examination based on comments she made at the scene, according to police.

A subsequent lab report found she had an blood-alcohol level of 0.287, police said. The legal limit is 0.08.

She was released on a promise to appear at a Jan. 8 court date.
