West Avenue home burglarized, laptop, jewelry and medication reported missing
A West Avenue resident reported a residential burglary to police on June 5. The woman left her home at 8 a.m. that day and when she returned home at 3 p.m., a rustling noise inside the home led her to believe another person was there with her. She dialed 911 and officers responded to clear the scene.
A check of the home revealed that a laptop, watch, credit card, some assorted jewelry and prescription medications were missing. The combined items of those items was estimated at $1,860. Detectives responded to process the scene for evidence, but no signs of forced entry were found. An investigation is still ongoing.
